Cally was cursing in a steady stream under her breath as she ran to class. Pyraturgy might have been her best subject, but that didn't mean tardiness wouldn't put her on probation for a week. And out of training for longer. Ah well. Maybe the break would be nice, even if it was forced. The last week had been particularly stressful. There'd been twelve reports of UFOs in the last seven days, and the whole team was scrambling to cover it up. ...without success, of course. Still, it wasn't for lack of trying, that was certain. Putting out fires was not, after all, a job best left for later. By the end of their efforts, everything was both scorched and soaking wet. So much for taking that time off from training. As they moved through the newly formed lake, it was clear that nothing bloodthirsty could survive the holy water blast. "Hot damn. Well, that's one way to put out a campfire..."
